Ingredients

  • 500g ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground lamb, onion, garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, parsley, salt, and pepper. Divide the mixture into 12 portions and shape each into a sausage-shaped kofta.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the koftas for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  3. While the koftas are cooking, prepare the mint yogurt sauce by mixing the Greek yogurt, fresh mint, lemon juice, honey, cumin, and paprika in a bowl.
  4. Serve the lamb koftas with the mint yogurt sauce on the side.
