Ingredients
- 500g ground lamb
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large bowl, mix the ground lamb, fresh mint, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each into 6 equal rectangles.
- Divide the lamb mixture into 12 portions and shape each portion into a sausage shape.
- Place a portion of the lamb mixture onto each pastry rectangle and roll up to encase the filling, sealing the edges with a little water.
- Brush the sausage rolls with the beaten egg and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden and the lamb is cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
