Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the beef, garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil in the same pan. Add the onion and tomato, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the pan and stir-fry for an additional minute to heat through.
  5. Serve the Lok Lak on a bed of lettuce leaves with lime wedges on the side.
