Lokum Cheesesteak (turkish Delight Cheesesteak)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces Turkish delight (lokum), thinly sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced steak to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Push the steak to one side of the skillet and add the onions and bell peppers. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  4. Season the steak, onions, and peppers with salt and pepper.
  5. Divide the steak, onions, and peppers into 4 portions in the skillet.
  6. Top each portion with slices of Turkish delight and 2 slices of provolone cheese.
  7. Cover the skillet and cook until the cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.
  8. Open the hoagie rolls and place them on top of the steak mixture in the skillet to warm them up.
  9. Once the rolls are warm, carefully transfer each portion of the steak mixture into a hoagie roll.
  10. Serve the Lokum Cheesesteak immediately and enjoy!
