Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped Turkish delight
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of milk to create a slurry. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine the remaining milk, heavy cream, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture begins to steam.
- Whisk in the cornstarch slurry and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, fold in the chopped Turkish delight and pistachios.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Transfer the churned ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
