Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped Turkish delight
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of milk to create a slurry. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the remaining milk, heavy cream, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture begins to steam.
  3. Whisk in the cornstarch slurry and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  4. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Once cooled, fold in the chopped Turkish delight and pistachios.
  6. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  7. Transfer the churned ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
