Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons rose water
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add the cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and pulse until the dough comes together.
- Press the dough into a tart pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the tart crust for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
- In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil and cook until a candy thermometer reads 240°F (115°C).
- Remove from heat and stir in the rose water. Pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it set for 4 hours or overnight.
- Cut the Turkish delight into cubes and toss in cornstarch and confectioners' sugar.
- Arrange the Turkish delight cubes on the cooled tart crust.
