Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons rose water
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add the cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and pulse until the dough comes together.
  2. Press the dough into a tart pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Bake the tart crust for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
  5. In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil and cook until a candy thermometer reads 240°F (115°C).
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the rose water. Pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it set for 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Cut the Turkish delight into cubes and toss in cornstarch and confectioners' sugar.
  8. Arrange the Turkish delight cubes on the cooled tart crust.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
