Long Huo Tang (dragon's Breath Soup)
Long Huo Tang, also known as Dragon's Breath Soup, is a traditional Zhejiang Cuisine dish that is known for its spicy and flavorful broth. This soup is perfect for warming up on a cold day and is sure to leave you feeling satisfied and energized.
Ingredients
- 500g beef brisket, sliced
- 2 pieces of ginger, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 2 tbsp chili bean paste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1.5L water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a pot, add the beef brisket, ginger, and green onions. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Skim off any foam that rises to the surface.
- Add the Sichuan peppercorns, chili bean paste, soy sauce, cooking wine, and sugar. Simmer for 1 hour until the beef is tender.
- Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
