Ingredients
- 4 lotus leaves, dried
- 2 cups sticky rice, soaked for 2 hours
- 200g chicken, diced
- 100g Chinese sausage, sliced
- 4 dried shiitake mushrooms, soaked and sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Rinse the lotus leaves and soak them in warm water for 30 minutes to soften.
- Divide the sticky rice into 4 portions and place each portion in the center of a lotus leaf.
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken, Chinese sausage, and shiitake mushrooms with garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and white pepper for 15 minutes.
- Divide the marinated mixture into 4 portions and place on top of the sticky rice.
- Wrap the lotus leaves to form parcels and secure with kitchen twine.
- Place the parcels in a steamer and steam over high heat for 40 minutes.
- Unwrap the lotus leaf rice parcels and serve hot.
