Ingredients
- 4 pieces of firm tofu
- 4 lotus leaves
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 red chili, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the tofu by cutting each piece in half horizontally to create 8 thin slices.
- Soak the lotus leaves in warm water for 10 minutes to soften.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
- Place a slice of tofu on each lotus leaf, then top with the marinade, green onions, garlic, ginger, and chili slices.
- Wrap the lotus leaves around the tofu to create parcels, then secure with kitchen twine.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add the tofu parcels. Cook for 5 minutes on each side until the lotus leaves are crispy.
