Ingredients

  • 500g pork bones
  • 1 lotus root, peeled and sliced
  • 4-5 slices of ginger
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 8 cups of water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the pork bones in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Drain and rinse the bones.
  2. In a clean pot, add the blanched pork bones, lotus root slices, ginger, and green onion. Pour in 8 cups of water.
  3. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours, skimming off any foam that rises to the surface.
  4. Season with salt to taste before serving.
