Low Sodium Beef Jerky

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of lean beef, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the low sodium soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the oven to 175°F (80°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  4. Remove the marinated beef from the refrigerator and place the slices on the wire rack, ensuring they are not touching.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is dried and firm, but still slightly pliable.
  6. Allow the beef jerky to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
