Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, sliced into cubes
  • 200g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and green onions, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the tofu and mushrooms to the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring gently.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth and the sauce mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the tofu and mushrooms are tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
