Ingredients
- 1 whole duck, cut into pieces
- 1 cup chestnuts, peeled
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add the duck pieces and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the duck from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add the ginger, garlic, and green onions. Stir-fry for a minute until fragrant.
- Return the duck pieces to the wok. Add the Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar. Stir to coat the duck evenly with the sauce.
- Pour in the chicken broth and add the chestnuts. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the duck is tender and the chestnuts are cooked through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and enjoy!
