Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Pour in the beef broth, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of a greased pie dish. Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes, then top with the remaining potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top layer of potatoes.
  7. Cover the pie dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
  8. Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
