Lucanian Beef And Potato Pie

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
- Pour in the beef broth, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of a greased pie dish. Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes, then top with the remaining potatoes.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top layer of potatoes.
- Cover the pie dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
