Lucknowi Gosht Kali Mirch (लखनवी गोश्त काली मिर्च)

Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the mutton pieces and cook until they are browned.
  4. Stir in the yogurt, black pepper powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add 2 cups of water, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 45 minutes or until the mutton is tender.
  6. Stir in the fresh cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with freshly ground black pepper and serve hot.
