Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 onions, finely sliced
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts, ground into a paste
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp saffron strands
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the mutton with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and sauté the sliced onions until golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated mutton and cook until the meat is tender.
  4. Stir in the cashew nut paste, garam masala, and saffron strands. Cook for another 10 minutes.
  5. Finish by adding fresh cream and simmer for 5 minutes.
