Ingredients

  • 1 whole duck, deboned and sliced
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the duck slices by seasoning with salt and pepper, then dredge in cornstarch, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the duck slices until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. In a separate saucepan, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, water, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  4. Toss the fried duck slices in the sauce and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
  5. Roll the duck slices in lettuce leaves and serve hot.
