Ingredients
- 1 whole duck, deboned and sliced
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the duck slices by seasoning with salt and pepper, then dredge in cornstarch, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the duck slices until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate saucepan, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, water, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Toss the fried duck slices in the sauce and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
- Roll the duck slices in lettuce leaves and serve hot.
