Ingredients
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
Instructions
- In a cast iron skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
- Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.
- Arrange the sliced potatoes in the skillet, overlapping slightly.
- Sprinkle the sugar over the potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
- Layer the caramelized onions on top of the potatoes.
- Cover the skillet with the puff pastry, tucking in the edges.
