Lyulya Kebab (spiced Beef Skewers)
Lyulya kebab is a traditional Tatar dish made of spiced ground beef, shaped into skewers, and grilled to perfection. These flavorful beef skewers are a popular street food in Tatar cuisine and are perfect for a delicious and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 metal or wooden skewers
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion onto a skewer, forming elongated meat patties around the skewers.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Grill the skewers for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through and has a nice charred exterior.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
