Ingredients
- 500g thinly sliced beef
- 300g lamb, thinly sliced
- 200g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 300g tofu, cubed
- 200g enoki mushrooms
- 150g Chinese cabbage, chopped
- 100g lotus root, thinly sliced
- 100g glass noodles
- 4 cups chicken or beef broth
- 1/2 cup Sichuan peppercorns
- 1/4 cup chili oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 piece ginger, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the broth by bringing the chicken or beef broth to a boil in a large pot. Add the Sichuan peppercorns, chili oil, soy sauce, green onions, garlic, ginger, and sugar. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Arrange the beef, lamb, shrimp, tofu, mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, lotus root, and glass noodles on separate plates.
- Place the prepared ingredients around the simmering broth on the stovetop.
- Allow each person to cook their desired ingredients in the broth using chopsticks or a small strainer.
- Enjoy the cooked ingredients with steamed rice and dipping sauces.
