Ingredients
- 12 duck wings
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Chinese cooking wine
- 2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 2 tbsp chili bean paste
- 3 slices ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the Sichuan peppercorns, ginger, and garlic. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the duck wings to the pot and brown them on all sides.
- Pour in the soy sauce, cooking wine, and chili bean paste. Stir to coat the duck wings.
- Add the sugar, green onions, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the duck wings are tender.
- Season with salt to taste. Serve the spicy braised duck wings hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
