Ingredients

  • 1 liter of tsipouro or vodka
  • 1 tablespoon of mastika extract
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
  2. Once the syrup is cooled, add the mastika extract to the syrup and stir well.
  3. Pour the tsipouro or vodka into a large glass jar or bottle.
  4. Add the mastika syrup to the tsipouro or vodka and stir gently to combine.
  5. Seal the jar or bottle and let the mastika mixture rest for at least 24 hours before serving.
