Ingredients
- 2 cups dried white beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the dried white beans in water overnight.
- Drain and rinse the beans, then place them in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until the beans are tender.
- In a separate pan, heat the vegetable oil and sauté the onion, garlic, and bell peppers until softened.
- Add the diced tomatoes, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the pan and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Once the beans are cooked, drain any excess water and add them to the pan with the vegetable mixture. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve the Tavče Gravče topped with a dollop of Pindjur.
