Ingredients

  • 500g fish fillets
  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix gram flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, carom seeds, turmeric powder, yogurt, lemon juice, and salt to form a smooth marinade.
  2. Marinate the fish fillets in the mixture and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
  4. Fry the marinated fish fillets until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with mint chutney or lemon wedges.
