Machli Tikka (grilled Spiced Fish)

Ingredients
- 4 fillets of white fish (such as tilapia or cod)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons ginger paste
- 2 teaspoons garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Chaat masala for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin, coriander, red chili powder, turmeric, and salt to make the marinade.
- Place the fish fillets in the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
- Remove the fish from the marinade and brush with vegetable oil. Grill the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Sprinkle with chaat masala, if desired, and serve hot with lemon wedges.
