Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1/2 cup dried mopani worms, rehydrated and finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, rehydrated mopani worms, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the meatballs in the skillet, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  6. Serve the Madora Meatballs hot with your favorite side dishes.
