Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in 1/2 cup of milk.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the remaining milk and sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan while stirring continuously.
  4. Add the rose water and ground cardamom, and continue to cook and stir until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and pour the pudding into serving dishes. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  6. Before serving, garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds.
