Ingredients

  • 500g of pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 400g of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated halloumi cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine.
  5. Serve the Makaronia Madness with a generous sprinkle of grated halloumi cheese on top.
