Makedonska Pastrmajlija, also known as Macedonian Pastrmajlija, is a traditional dish from the Balkan cuisine. It is a flavorful and hearty open-faced pie topped with meat and eggs, perfect for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 500g pizza dough
- 200g pork, thinly sliced
- 200g beef, thinly sliced
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 4 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal parts and shape them into oval or round crusts.
- Place the crusts on a baking sheet.
- Layer the pork, beef, and onions on top of the crusts.
- Create a well in the center of each pastrmajlija and crack an egg into each well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the eggs are cooked to your liking.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
