Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 onions, finely sliced
  • 4-5 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1/4 tsp mace powder
  • 1/4 cup almonds, blanched and ground
  • 1/4 cup cashews, ground
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger and garlic paste, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
  4. Stir in yogurt, cream, green chilies, and all the spices. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Add ground almonds and cashews, and cook for another 10 minutes until the chicken is tender and the gravy is thick.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
