Makroud (tunisian Spiced Cauliflower Rice)
Makroud is a traditional Tunisian dish made with spiced cauliflower rice. This flavorful and aromatic dish is a perfect addition to any Tunisian meal.
Ingredients
- 1 head of cauliflower, grated
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the grated cauliflower, cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cauliflower is tender.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
