Malabar Chicken Curry

Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Next, add the chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
- Stir in the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Pour in the coconut milk and simmer for another 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle garam masala and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
