Malvani Mutton Kombdi Vade
Malvani Mutton Kombdi Vade is a traditional dish from the Malvani cuisine, known for its rich and spicy flavors. This dish combines tender mutton with the unique taste of kombdi vade, a special type of bread made with rice flour and spices.
Ingredients
- 500g mutton, cut into pieces
- 2 cups rice flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp Malvani masala
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- Fresh coriander leaves
- Oil for cooking
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the mutton with Malvani masala, turmeric powder, salt, and keep aside for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
- Add marinated mutton and cook until the mutton is tender.
- In a separate bowl, mix rice flour, grated coconut, chopped tomato, coriander leaves, and salt. Add water to make a thick batter.
- Heat a flat pan, pour a ladle of the batter and spread it to make a round vade. Cook on both sides until golden brown.
- Serve the hot mutton curry with kombdi vade.
