Malvani Mutton Kombdi Vade

Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp Malvani masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Oil for cooking
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the mutton with Malvani masala, turmeric powder, salt, and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add marinated mutton and cook until the mutton is tender.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix rice flour, grated coconut, chopped tomato, coriander leaves, and salt. Add water to make a thick batter.
  5. Heat a flat pan, pour a ladle of the batter and spread it to make a round vade. Cook on both sides until golden brown.
  6. Serve the hot mutton curry with kombdi vade.
