Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix gram flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, yogurt, lemon juice, and salt to form a smooth batter.
  2. Marinate the prawns in this batter and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated prawns until golden and crispy.
  4. Remove the prawns from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve hot with mint chutney or lemon wedges.
