Malvani Style Crab Fry

Ingredients

  • 500g fresh crab, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Malvani masala
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  4. Now, add the Malvani masala, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
  5. Add the cleaned crab pieces and mix gently to coat them with the masala.
  6. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the crab is cooked through.
  7. Once the crab is cooked, add the grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Malvani Style Crab Fry is ready to be served hot with steamed rice or Malvani bhakri.
