Malvani Style Fish Kheema

Ingredients

  • 500g minced fish
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tbsp Malvani masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and Malvani masala. Cook until the oil separates.
  4. Add the minced fish and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add grated coconut and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Pour water as needed to adjust the consistency of the gravy.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
