Malvani Style Fish Thali is a traditional seafood platter from the Malvani Cuisine, known for its bold flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets
- 1 cup Malvani masala paste
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3-4 green chilies, slit
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 cup tamarind pulp
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Clean and wash the fish fillets. Marinate with turmeric powder and salt for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions, and sauté until golden brown.
- Add Malvani masala paste, green chilies, and grated coconut. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add red chili powder, tamarind pulp, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the marinated fish fillets and cook for 10-12 minutes until the fish is tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or Malvani bhakri.
