Ingredients

  • 500g fish fillets
  • 1 cup Malvani masala paste
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, slit
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup tamarind pulp
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash the fish fillets. Marinate with turmeric powder and salt for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions, and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add Malvani masala paste, green chilies, and grated coconut. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add red chili powder, tamarind pulp, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the marinated fish fillets and cook for 10-12 minutes until the fish is tender.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or Malvani bhakri.
