Ingredients
- 500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the garlic, onion, and bell pepper until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix together the tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, cornstarch, and water.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and bring to a simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Add the fried chicken back into the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
