Ingredients
- 1 whole duck, about 5 lbs
- 1 cup plum sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp five-spice powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the duck and pat it dry. Score the skin and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix the plum sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and five-spice powder.
- Brush the duck with the plum sauce mixture, inside and out.
- Roast the duck in the preheated oven for 1 hour, basting with the plum sauce mixture every 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle the duck with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
