Ingredients
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 pound beef, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons mandi spice mix
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides.
- Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté the onions, carrots, bell pepper, and garlic until softened.
- Add the mandi spice mix and stir to coat the vegetables.
- Return the beef to the pot and add the basmati rice, stirring to combine everything.
- Pour in the chicken broth and season with salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until the rice is cooked and the beef is tender.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve the mandi hot.
