Mandu Guk (만두국)
만두국 (Mandu Guk) is a traditional Korean soup made with dumplings and a flavorful broth. It's a comforting and satisfying dish that is perfect for any time of the year.
Ingredients
- 1 pack of store-bought mandu (dumplings)
- 8 cups of beef or anchovy broth
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the broth to a boil.
- Add the onion, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper to the broth.
- Gently add the mandu to the boiling broth and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the mandu are fully cooked.
- Stir in the chopped green onions and remove the pot from the heat.
- Serve the mandu guk hot in individual bowls.
