Ingredients

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder, boneless
  • 1 cup mango puree
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/4 cup coleslaw (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and place it in a slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the mango puree, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the pork shoulder.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  4. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  5. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the cooking liquid.
  6. Assemble the sliders by placing a portion of the pulled pork on each bun, and top with coleslaw if desired.
