Manicotti Shells

Ingredients

  • 8 manicotti shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook manicotti shells according to package instructions, then drain and set aside to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Using a piping bag or a small spoon, fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish, then arrange the filled manicotti shells on top.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells, then sprinkle with additional mozzarella and Parmesan cheese if desired.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the manicotti shells cool for a few minutes before serving.
