Ingredients
- 8 manicotti shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook manicotti shells according to package instructions, then drain and set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Using a piping bag or a small spoon, fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish, then arrange the filled manicotti shells on top.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells, then sprinkle with additional mozzarella and Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the manicotti shells cool for a few minutes before serving.
