Maple Sesame Chicken (枫糖芝麻鸡)

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil.
- Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then place them in a large resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and toss to coat.
- Serve the Maple Sesame Chicken over steamed rice or with your favorite vegetables.
