Marazion Mackerel Pâté

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh mackerel fillets
  • 1 lemon, juiced

  • 2 tablespoons crème fraîche

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the mackerel fillets on a baking sheet, skin side up. Grill for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and the flesh is cooked through.
  3. Remove the mackerel from the grill and let it cool. Once cooled, remove the skin and any bones.

  5. Using a fork, mash and mix the ingredients together until well combined and creamy.
  6. Transfer the pâté to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
