Marinated Eggs

Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, place the eggs and cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 7 minutes.
- Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and let cool for 5 minutes. Peel the eggs and place them in a large resealable plastic bag.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Pour the marinade over the eggs in the bag, add the sliced green onion, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
- To serve, slice the marinated eggs in half and arrange on a plate. Drizzle with a little of the marinade and garnish with additional sliced green onion if desired.
