Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh tuna, cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 bell peppers, diced
  • 4 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 4 cups fish or vegetable broth
  • 1 lb potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  2. Add the bell peppers and tomatoes, and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the fish or vegetable broth, potatoes, and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Add the tuna chunks and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the tuna is cooked through.
  6. Adjust the seasoning if needed, and serve hot.
