Ingredients

  • 400g fresh tuna, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 green chili, sliced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Stir in onions, garlic, ginger, green chili, and curry leaves. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.
  4. Add turmeric and chili powder, and stir for a minute.
  5. Add tomatoes and cook until they are soft.
  6. Stir in the tuna cubes and cook for 5-7 minutes until the tuna is cooked through.
  7. Add grated coconut and cook for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Season with salt to taste.
  9. Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
