Ingredients
- 400g fresh tuna, cut into cubes
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 green chili, sliced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Instructions
- Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Stir in onions, garlic, ginger, green chili, and curry leaves. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.
- Add turmeric and chili powder, and stir for a minute.
- Add tomatoes and cook until they are soft.
- Stir in the tuna cubes and cook for 5-7 minutes until the tuna is cooked through.
- Add grated coconut and cook for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
