Mas Rihaakuru Sambol (tuna Sambol)

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut
  • 1/4 cup rihaakuru (Maldivian fish paste)
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, chopped onion, green chilies, tomato, and grated coconut.
  2. Add the rihaakuru and lime juice to the bowl and mix well.
  3. Season with salt to taste and mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
  4. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the tuna mixture. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sambol is heated through.
  5. Remove from heat and serve the mas rihaakuru sambol with rice or roshi.
