Masala Uttapam (crispy Masala Uttapam)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of dosa batter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup of mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, peas)
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle on medium heat.
  2. Pour a ladleful of dosa batter onto the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thick pancake.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped onions, tomatoes, green chili, mixed vegetables, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt over the uttapam.
  4. Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown and crispy.
  5. Flip the uttapam and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until it is cooked through and crispy.
  6. Remove from the pan and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
